You have to hand it to the Germans and their attention to detail and efficiency. It only took them 12 years and it's taken the US 40. Or is it 60? Take your pick.
Maybe it was/is the two party system we have that caused the delay. Unlike Hitler (who I'm not saying was a nice guy in the end,) he brought the German people out of destitution instead of into it. All that finger pointing across the aisle to assign the blame for the latest travesty for Americans takes time. Anyway, as long as Walmart is open everything must be just Hunky Dory.
In the end it's going to be nice to be the "kook". For the last thirty years I've been been the one standing )but only on my knees) pleading with people to look at what was going on. While the Constitution has been redacted line by line until nothing is left except "pay your taxes". The answer is always "It doesn't affect me". Sometimes "It's all your fault- why don't you do something about it."
"Things will get better next election ", "Just be happy -your always so negative", "You have anger management problems!", "Your stupid " or the tried and true "I don't want to hear it."
Now the reality is we have elected a defacto dictator, who is in the process of rapidly destroying not the just the country but the people within it. And not just the US- but the world economy. I can't wait.
There's still 207 weeks to go with Trump.
Promises made, promises kept. I'm still wondering what the "You'll never have to vote again" promise means.

The Hawaii state legislature in its infinite wisdom is considering legislation to make it a criminal offense (disorderly conduct) for homeless people to be standing (loitering) at a bus stop. (Free bus service was started by the county because hotel workers lived in outlying areas where affordable 3rd world shacks were available for and couldn't afford transportation because of slavery wages. Corporate subsidizes.)
Additionally, Honolulu is hiring 12 more Police to control fireworks due to the recent explosion which killed a few people. At a cost of 12 million dollars per year. How the control is going to be implemented is still a question but any excuse to increase Police presence is a valid one to keep people safe.
Just White Supremacy that’s all. It is hard for White people to see it and moreover do something about it. We could have all the benefits of Universal Healthcare care if it were not for Racism. But how many are yelling at the top of their lungs to establish Universal Healthcare for all??? How many? In 1972 Joseph Coors, Tim Mellon and the Walmart family donated almost $2 million dollars to establish The Heritage Foundation and initiate Project 2025. So far 60 plus years they have worked to create the situation we find ourselves in right now. Racism will take all of us down - NC has 14 seats in the US House of Representatives 10 are Republican seats ( some heavily leaning MAGA-) that is the result of gerrymandering at its best. Did anyone stop and protest? Yes some of us did but most of us did not. You must demand equity at the state and local level or else it will fester and become the most painful boil and will almost be unable to be removed.
