For those of us who do know and understand, it's a huge burden. We're all like Cassandra, who could tell the future, but was cursed by the gods never to be believed.

Excellent collection of graphs illustrating reality. Every day of what we call normal is on borrowed time now. And it was never normal, breaking the rules of survivability certainly since the rise of fossil fuels, and likely since the rise of agriculture. So few understand these things. Glad to have a community here that sees truth through madness.

I have often said, I feel like your namesake in Terminator 2, watching families and people going about their "normal" lives and knowing what's coming.

Perhaps they think that about us too. I go about my normal life.

2C by 2037 you say? by all the leading experts? at 2C we will see 26 weeks out of the year above 35C/95F?? in continental USA. in the next decade I will see the verdant landscapes of Virginia turn dead and grey? fires will rage in places like never before? entire cities abandoned as power grids crumple under load? we might not get to see AI kill us after all- we will get there first. at 2C we see literally billions of people starve to death as crops fail globally. will the first 500,000,000 die peacefully? should be "intersting" to say the least. as always, thanks for tabulating these points into easy (horrid) to digest truth biscuits.

As has already been said, an excellent collection of visuals and data sets. Thank you.

Knowing this- and if you don’t mind me asking- I’m curious how you spend your days?

Sorry to say this, but people don't want to know the truth. They can't handle it, have no desire to change themselves and believe everything will work out for the best. Rainbows and happy thoughts will get us through.

Wonderful clear graphs that 90% of Americans can't interpret.

The way Trump is going we probably don't have to worry about climate change.

Thanks for this. I can imagine how much work it took to research this.

So think rainbows and happy thoughts from hereon in.

Collapse is insidious, but not for the reason you present.

How about we blow more shit up! Perhaps another natural gas pipeline? We are insanely racing even faster towards collapse as if it is the ultimate destination!

Exponential change is about as scary as it gets!.

The intensity of weather extremes graph as a typo. It should be square kilometers not cubic kilometers on the left-hand axis.
