There is something called the Internet today. It's readily available to all. So why haven't climate scientists formed their own website where the predictions, debate and consensus with climate consequences be established to bypass the media? We are no longer living in the 1800's where the only news is from a newspaper. The scientific community desperately needs to get it's act together, suppress egos and report the truth. There are no excuses. Science should not be a pick and choose whose opinion you like .
The "All electric society" is a complete farce and yet no engineering societies have come out in opposition and pointed out the facts. No chemical engineering societies have unified with the devastating effects of chemicals on the environment including humans. "Willing suspension of disbelief" applies to more than just magic shows or theater. It applies to science and politics as well. The slaughter of Palestinians is only Israel defending itself. Really? Approximately 400 IDF soldiers to 50,000+ Palestinians is defensive?
"Rainbows and happy thoughts" aren't going to solve our problems and reality is going to overwhelm denial. 99.999% of all species have gone extinct since life began. Those weren't even capable of creating their own extinction. Where are you going to put your money? I know where mine is going. Too bad I won't be able to collect it.
