We are ants, because like ants and termites, humans are ultrasocial, as the excellent book by John Gowdy elucidated.

Ultrasocial species cooperate and conspire in hierarchies to acquire territory and advantage, which leads to enormous gains in their collective biomass. That biosocial fact is also why corporations, the ultimate ultrasocial predatory organization, condemn humanity to self-generated extinction.

Looks like EO Wilson was right all along.

Capitalism has been following the ant playbook all along.

Ever read "The once and future king" by T.H White?

EO is a fairly controversial figure, as is evo-psych. He lived in the same assisted living place as my mother, but I never asked him in the dining room about bring pied.

I have a lifelong bias against fantasy/sci-fi, unfortunately. No ren fairs, Star Wars or -Trek, game of thrones/hunger for me. Just our corporate dystopia. Probably I should found better hobbies.
