Sad truth, your article, and here we are living in a time when 30 percent of the US population is misinformed who the monsters are, and actually led by the monsters. The November election is truly momentous, even if we are more likely than not cooked by climate change. I fully expect some form of violence if the Orange Lunatic doesn't win, or if the heinous college electorate is close (likely). I'd prefer not to finish my life worrying about brown shirts at my door or feeling it's too dangerous to call out the truth in writing here. Thank you for the ample historical examples. It CAN happen here and is damn close.

The United States of America which thinks it is an enlightened democracy, has been bombing, starving, and burning alive two million men, women, teenage boys and girls, children, infants, and the unborn. During a year-long siege of Gaza with virtually no one let in or out. Including doctors. This is now, today, not in medieval times or the future. Our bombs, jets, and poisonous chemicals = we did it. We dropped the bombs. We fired the weapons. We destroyed the ecology of Gaza and the Mediterranean Sea. Nothing can grow there for decades or even hundreds of years. The USA. With some pitiful help from the perpetually unhappy and misunderstood poor zionists of Israel, god bless their hearts. My point is that it’s not that our future is violent, it is that the so-called West is violent today. So imagine the future when global warming kicks in and biodiversity loss (again our fault). Hunger games anyone??
